| Passing the Virginian-style searchlight signals at Algonquin, NS U86 will soon ease to a stop at Clarks Gap to cut off its rear end helpers. The Elmore based crew, which uses a combination of AC and DC traction power will conduct a power swap before the 100 cars of Belews Creek coal will descend the P-D District to Princeton. Scenes like this will soon be gone as NS shifts coal off of its famed VGN P-D line to the Guyandotte Branch and Gilbert. |
