Booking up the hill just north of the small town of Cohutta,GA NS 739 (Juliette,GA-Memphis,TN/BNSF) is rolling on the an advance approach to keep up the pace before the long empty coal bucket slows down and drag along before getting to the top of Howardsville grade. In the next six miles the empty coal bucket will have to stop in Apison, TN (MP-21.7 H CP-Long) or Howardsville (Southern Rwy Term) to meet southbound NS 175 which will make its way up the Howardsville grade on the Tennessee of the hill before continuing north for Chattanooga.
