| "BY8 Borders the SIE" Conrail Shared Assets train BY8 (powered by NS SD45-2 #1703 & CSX GP38-2 #2624) heads to the Fresh Kills Trash facility after making a quick stop on the Richmond Recycling Spur. This section of the line borders the Staten Island Expressway with 2 sidings. Before shoving the orange trash cars, the Recycling cars will be pushed into the siding on the right. The train will then drop off a load of empties to the plant and return with cut of loaded cars. The Travis Branch is a 4.41 Mile branch that stems from Arlington Yard to the Fresh Kills Waste Transfer Facility which is served by CSAO daily. |
