Remarks & Notes

On the 10th of January 2012, a train dumps a load of molten slag at the Beitai Steel Works in NE China. The site was first visited by foreign steam photographers in 2002. Since that time the management of the works had an on again off again policy in regards to visits to the site by foreigners, however by late 2012 after some alleged irresponsible behaviour by certain individuals, access was denied to all foreigners. Since that time steam has ceased operating and much of the site re built.
