Amtrak train 2253 is about to roll through the Newark, Delaware station at speed on track 3, while Northeast Regional train 161 waits north of Davis Tower/interlocking on track 1. After 2253 passes, 161 will cross over from 1 to 2 to 3 and proceed south.

Amtrak's Northeast Corridor cuts across the northern end of Delaware. Go to the cafe car for a coffee and you might miss it. The state may be small but among Acelas, regional trains and long distance there is plenty of action.
