Framed by the firebox door opening, a crew member of Union Pacific’s steam shop is grinding in the firebox of 4-8-4 No. 844. On this date of March 25, 2013, the famous locomotive was getting some off-season work done on the firebox around the mud ring, superheater tubes, and other maintenance, in the shop at Cheyenne, Wyoming.
