"SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV"
For many passengers on the Norfolk and Western H Line this was their first thing that greeted them after crossing the Potomac River into West Virginia. The classic N&W style station built in 1909 still stands today. Although it ceased to welcome passengers in 1957, the station today still plays a vital role in the town. The northern half (freight house) has been transformed into a dentist's office. The waiting room on the southern half is now a community center and can be rented out for events.
