All kinds of plants, flowers and seeds for taters, peas, cabbage, cucumbers and maters are available at the Riverside Market in Clinchco, VA on May 10, 2001. Two fellows take a gander at a northbound CSX rail train as it crosses Second McClure Branch bridge and highway 83. The old highway ducked under the bridge on which the lead "slug" is pictured, as noted by the "CLINCHFIELD RAILROAD" lettering still painted on the girder. The old road (now blocked off) was narrow and with limited vertical clearance under the bridge. It took a hard right turn on the other side. The right side of the bridge was once a part of the hillside. It was cut out in the 70s by Appalachian Construction Company during a major upgrade of the highway through Clinchco.
