BNSF 9029 sits on the rear of a southbound coal train stopped in The Sag at Spruce, CO as freshly-fallen snow blows off of Pikes Peak as a harbinger of what's to come. The Pikes Peak Region was under a Red Flag warning for high winds on this particular Spring morning, but when I snapped this photo, the winds hadn't made it down to the surface yet. But one glance at the snow being ripped off of Pikes Peak, it was clear that this peaceful and quiet morning was about to change...
