| Utah Railway 2003 and 2001 head out onto the Bingham / Garfield Branch heading for the west end of the Salt Lake Valley. Many things have changed with this location over the last 5 years since this picture was taken. For one there is no daylight freights trains on this line anymore. Both of these locomotives wear Genesee and Wyoming orange and yellow. The line is double tracked, the trackage has overhead catenary. There is a light rail UTA tracks station here now (Bingham Juction). This photo is taken right at last light at 8:26 p.m. The schedule of the RUT310 the last few years before light rail was to depart about this time. If you were lucky on the longest nights of the year you might get a sunlit shot. |
