Chicago Aurora & Elgin 36 is the oldest operating piece of equipment at the Illinois Railway Museum. Built in 1902 by the John Stephenson Company of Elizabeth, NJ, the car was acquired from an Ohio museum in 2009. Restoration work is ongoing to return to the car to its 1940s appearance.
