Remarks & Notes
As passenger business was dwindling in the late 1960’s and the advent of Amtrak was approaching, Santa Fe began storing excess equipment at Marceline, Mo. The lines of mostly stainless steel cars stretched as far as one could see. An old concrete coaling tower still stood on March 27, 1968.
