The children of Yoder, Wyoming, get out of class and spend a little time outside on a warm September 23, 2003, to view something rare traveling through the tiny town. Union Pacific Challenger No. 3985 is deadheading a passenger train to Omaha on the Yoder subdivision, and stops for an inspection, much to their interest. After backing the train out of town, the massive steam locomotive performed a thundering “runby” to the amazement of the kids. It’ll surely be a recess to remember for many of them!
