| Conrail local MA1 shoves down the siding to service Ancapri Food Supply. This customer is one of only a handful left in this area after many customers opted out of using rail, went out of business, or moved like Builders General next door. The track with the boxcars is the mainline. The drop off for this siding is pretty steep. Just behind me is about a 4% grade this GP38 has to climb to get back up to the mainline. But the veteran Conrail crew make it look like a piece of cake. Photo taken on private property with permission. |
