Mount Beacon - A Metro North train passes across the mouth of Fishkill Creek and in front of the highest peak in the Hudson Highlands - Mount Beacon. The mountain has two summits; North Beacon hosts a score of radio towers, while the slightly taller South Beacon is topped by a 1930s fire tower that has recently been renovated and re-opened for the public to climb.
