Leaving the Illinois River Valley behind, westbound empty coal train E-CICBTM0 03R roars toward the setting sun as it ducks underneath of pair of ATSF searchlight signal bridges at Edelstein, IL along BNSF's double-tracked Chillicothe Subdivision. This train originated at the DTE Chicago Fuels Terminal, a rail to barge facility along the Calumet River in downtown Chi-town, and is headed for loading at the Black Thunder Coal Mine out in the heart of Wyoming's Powder River Basin. The veteran ex-BN "Grinstein Green" SD70MAC leader really adds a nice touch.
