Under a Full Moon at Fullerton - 3751 sits under a full moon on the private car storage lead at the Fullerton Train Station where it has been on display for the 2015 Fullerton Railroad Days.
Built in 1927 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, AT&SF 3751 was Baldwin's and the Santa Fe railway's first 4-8-4.
In 1936, the locomotive was converted to burn fuel oil and two years later it was given a larger tender that is able to hold 20,000 gallons of water and 7,107 gallons of fuel oil.
(Baldwin Locomotive Works Serial Number 60004.)
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
