NS P42 gets its train ready on a beautiful April morning in Spartanburg, SC. Hayne Yard was named after South Carolina Senator Robert Hayne, most notably known for his role in the famous political battle known as the Webster-Hayne Debate. Hayne also served as South Carolina Governer and Attorney General as well as the President of the Louisville, Cincinatti and Charleston Railway, a predecessor to the Southern and Norfolk Southern.
