Remarks & Notes

Once a frequent sight in the old Southern Railway town, high hood SD40-2s have all but diminished, save a small class of former Norfolk and Western motors, as NS has now completed rebuilds on all of the former Southern Railway SD40-2s. #1632 is one of eleven such equipped for remote control service, but is still capable of road service as it serves Gainesville for another day.
