Remarks & Notes
With 15+ inches of snow on the ground, dashing through nearly white-out conditions, Amtrak's Southwest Chief #4 passes by an active pair of semaphore signals in Chapelle, NM. Decorated in the Phase IV paint scheme, this train features Heritage unit #184 as the lead locomotive.

The Southwest Chief is an under-appreciated train. The New Mexico scenery is like none other in the entire system.
