| Chicago North Western - [A Study of Moving Coal Cars] - The Chicago North Western logo on the side of a UP coal train in route to West Colton passes by Hill 582 on BNSF trackage.
This open hopper was built in July of 1976 and wears the optical bar code that was adopted in the 70's to identify the car number, type of car and car owner.
This information is now stored on the RFID* tag that is mounted below the bar code (not in this picture)..
