| The tranquil silence of a late afternoon in the Searles Valley is suddenly broken as seven veteran Trona Railway EMD's notch up at Pinnacles for the continuous 1.6% grade to Searles.
Upon arrival at Searles, they will drop off the hoppers at the Union Pacific interchange, split the power, and haul a loaded coal train back to the plant at Trona in two sections. |
