Remarks & Notes
An almost 4 hour late Amtrak 19 (Crescent) rounds the curve and crosses over the BASF Plant just south of Norris with heritage unit 156 aka 'Bloody Nose' leading. Note the remnants of the snow storm up north on the tops of the Amfleet cars!

Three north-south routes cross the Carolinas. Auto Train runs through here, too. Also, the State of North Carolina sponsors the Piedmont service and supports the Carolinian.
