In her last use as a steam-powered machine, Interstate Railroad's derrick W-50 is helping to clean up a major coal train derailment on the steep (3.5 percent) descent from Crest to Appalachia, VA. Notice how onlookers are right there where the work is taking place. Very dangerous, and not anything you would see today! |
