After several years of planning, preparation, and construction the new Duvall Road overpass, near NS' Rickenbacker Intermodal Facility in Duvall, Ohio is complete and open to vehicle traffic. The old crossing (pictured) was a rail enthusiast hot spot for years but is now closed. What came to be is this new aspect of a historic railroad village. The crossing will remain but is blocked off. Pictured is NS 26N with a brand new BNSF, GE ES44C4 on point having just arrived at Rickenbacker, and NS 179 tied down with an NS, C40-9W in the lead.
