Remarks & Notes
Kentucky Railway Museum's restored Rogers Pacific number 152 is on the east side of Shelbyville, KY en route to Lexington with the first successful break-in run following completion. A previous run a month earlier was forced to turn back after a few miles when the driver bearings got too hot. Some fine tuning (plus some heat sensors) solved the problem, so today, the engine is running like a Singer sewing machine. On board: retired Southern steam guru Bill Purdie. The engine trails an auxiliary tender, two coaches, and former Monon BL-2 number 32.
