Even a dreary winter day can't dim the beauty of this E8(A). Built in 1953 for NYC, the 6902 is now privately owned. It wears Tennessee Central Railway Museum reporting marks and is often used for excursion trains, such as today's North Pole Express, complete with Santa on board. That Nathan M3 up there on top sounds mighty sweet too.
Not only known as Music City, USA, Nashville served as a major junction for the Louisville and Nashville, Tennessee Central, and Nashville, Chattanooga, and St. Louis as well as through service for a host of other railroads.
