| Grenada Railway's HR412 holds the title of being MLW's demonstrator model No.7000 Built in 1981, the unit is currently out of service pending a possible sale. Since it's last FRA inspection, the unit suffered a locked up traction motor. It last saw service in July of 2012. The former BN B30-7A1 is also currently sidelined as with the former UP B30-7A. Current traffic levels are being handled by the carrier's GP38-2s. As for the rest of the scene, the former IC depot may very well outlive the power its surrounded by. Notice a bookmark of times before this route was shortlined off in the form of the Amtrak station sign that still hangs from the north end of the depot. One can only think back in history to what the Grenada District was like in past times. |
