Remarks & Notes
NdeM’s daily Train 52 operating 434 miles from Mexico City to Veracruz on the Gulf coast makes its stop at Esperanza, Puebla, where electric locos will take over for the 29-mile electrified descent down to Orizaba (note the catenary). Trains 51 and 52 still carried sleepers, and a dining/observation car at the time of this Aug. 29, 1962 photo. FP-7 6300 was rather spartan and plain with no rear-view mirrors or M.U. hoses.
