| The sound of an approaching westbound train could be heard for several minutes coming down the valley out of the Cabinet Gorge, until at last the Centralia-bound unit coal train came roaring out onto the Clark Fork River bridge between Colby and Clark Fork, bringing with it a deafening thunder echoing around the valley. |
