Remarks & Notes
Southern Pacific was only a short-time tenant on Tennessee Pass in Colorado. Originally a part of the Denver & Rio Grande Western, the line became a part of SP when the D&RGW absorbed the larger railroad. By the time this photo was taken, the SP had itself been absorbed into Union Pacific. Today the famed Tennessee Pass line remains largely intact but unused, save for a portion near Canon City.
