| Well the weather outside is reminding us winter is around the corner. Hopefully a snowy winter is ahead for photography in Iowa. Back in 2010 winter hit hard on the Omaha Sub in early January. They had a L572 get stuck near Yetter with the 4 rear units in this consist. The head 3 units in this photo were sent out to rescue them, and ended up also stuck west of Tara. 2 days later and lots of snow dug out by contractors, the trains were unstuck and headed to Waterloo for some defrosting. |
