| Flares Down the Fourth: With sets of SD45-2s running on a railroad that hasn't changed much since the 1970s (Note the Northern Pacific cantilever signal and telegraph wires) it's easy to see why so many railfans have been descending on Montana Rail Link this year. In a railroad world dominated by wide cab GEs and generic signal equipment, MRL is providing a final glimpse of what railroading was like three decades ago. Enjoy it while you can. |
