Remarks & Notes
During the "Great Floods of 93" the CP fought water the entire way from St.Paul,MN. to KC,MO. from April to November. After losing eight miles of mainline between Chilicothe and Ludlow,MO. in the Dawn Bottoms a work train is loaded with rock to build a new main line sub structure. The entire RoW had been blown out by the force of the water. Another work train from Chili was rebuilding from the north end of the bottoms. Four bridges were either off their supports or gone completely from the flooding of the Grand river. The river rose 50 feet in some places.
