Remarks & Notes
A UP SD60 leads an eastbound "shooter" at Dale Junction, WY, high atop Sherman Hill. This was the route of the Transcontinental Railroad, although the original alignment was slightly further to the north, across the Dale Creek valley on one of the most spindly trestles ever built. It was supposedly known to rattle in a wind storm.
