Remarks & Notes

Steam Inc excursion train to the annual Napier Art Deco Festival steams north of Woodville. Napier was rebuilt in Deco architecture after 7.8 earthquake in 1931 and the festival is complete with 1930s cars and styles. Ja 1271 was built by Hillside in Dunedin in 1955-56, among the last steam locomotives built in NZ.
