Remarks & Notes

BNSF 4792 looks more like a model train than a real one as it bends around tight curves through rock cuts on its 2.2% grade climb from Skykomish to the Cascade Tunnel. This stack/vehicle train was moving about 25 mph with a quartet of Dash9/Gevos and went into the siding at Scenic to allow Amtrak No. 8 to overtake it.
