On Canada Day 2014, the Toronto bound Maple Leaf is late, as usual. With only one platform, and the weekend GO excursion trains now running, there's only one way to solve the problem of running both GO trains and the Maple Leaf. The platform was extended a couple years back to allow both trains to occupy the same track and platform as the GO's schedule conflicts with the Maple Leaf when it is late. Since the Maple Leaf has to spend an hour at the Falls due to customs, this GO train had to time to arrive from Toronto, wait an hour, and then take off back to Toronto again. The Toronto bound Maple Leaf and GO excursion train 788 occupy the same track at Niagara Falls, just a couple hundred feet from each other. Passengers show little care in the situation that is unfolding, unbeknownst to the fact this is a rare thing to see.
