On June 28, 2014 after ferrying from Haines to Skagway, Alaska, the drive up the Klondike Highway (Hwy 98) over White Pass into British Columbia, Canada offered an opportunity to capture one of the returning (Skagway bound) passenger runs of the WP&Y. Three classic narrow gauge DL535Es with passengers in tow were witnessed across the steep canyon easing down the rugged terrain along the Sawtooth Range between Glacier and Skagway.
