Two EMD A units separated by an Alco FA, rush a MoPac red ball freight onward toward St. Louis on June 3, 1961. A weed sprayer work train on the Cotton Belt RR was in the clear near Paragrould, Ark. where Missouri Pacific had trackage rights on the SSW; MoPac returned the favor to SSW at the Mississippi River. Cotton Belt traveled the MP from there to reach East St. Louis.
