| Really only very minor cosmetic procedures had to be performed, and this photo looks like in the 1950s when the Ae 6/6 # 11407 "Aargau" is pulling an international express train from (Basel-) Lucerne to Chiasso, including a blue CIWL dining car behind the locomotive, and made a stop in the capital of canton Ticino. The classic 6000 HP Gotthard locomotive was restored in her delivery state by members of the association "Mikado 1244" in Brugg (AG) and made her second maiden run in the Ticino this day, exactly 58 years after the first. |
