Heavy mist lies in the distant valleys as the early morning light catches a set of five 18E's on the Natal main line near Sprucewell with a southbound coal train. The second unit is 18-077, one of the first series of 6E1 to 18E rebuilds and surprisingly appearing in TFR red livery, which most likely means it has already been back to Koedoespoort shops for a heavy overhaul or possibly accident damage repair.
