| MetroPort train from Tauranga approaches Papakura hauled by a DXC brought up from South Island after the sidelining of the CNR built DL class fleet. The DXC has modifications for working through the formerly electrified Otira tunnel 5.5 miles (8.5Km) long on 3% grade against loaded trains. |
