| The snow is tapering off now after another 6-8 inches fell across the area earlier in the day as the crew works with a van for shuttling purposes to prepare this 195 car taconite train for movement. The original plan upon arrival from Keenan yard was to set this train up DP style and after several calls to RTC for switches and movements and shuttle from one end to the other it was determined that the engines wouldn't work together so the plan was scrapped and the more conventional method was used. This train will load overnight at U.S. Steels' Minntac plant and run south the next day under sunny skies along the CN Missabe Sub. to Steelton and eventually Escanaba, Michigan. |
