Remarks & Notes
2011 had already proven to be a great year to be a fan of Montreal, Maine & Atlantic's Searsport Branch. Additional Saturday morning runs of #211 from Hermon gave normally working folks a chance to follow the runs down to the shoreline on each weekend. Such was the case for me on October 15, 2011 while following the train back through Stockton Springs, Maine. At a public park at the south tip of Middle Street, #211 was returning to Hermon with a usual miss-matched set of GE power. The sky was moody at best and it was seriously windy on this Autumn afternoon.
