| Still Serving the South: Built in 1972, this 42 year old workhorse began life as one of the 257 GP38-2s ordered by Southern Railway with the distinctive high short hood. Today, these units largely serve yards and local jobs across the system, but they can still get the thru-trains over if the need arises. |
