A rare site Indeed! A very small number of railroads in the United States, allow you to witness more than one of Alco's classy RS-3 locomotives in revenue service. The Battenkill railroad in Washington County,NY is one of them. Recently called upon to store quite a large quantity of COVX spine cars, the Battenkill has been receiving them in small additions over the past month. However this last group of cars was the largest yet, calling forth both of the Battenkill's Alcos to do the job. Here #605 and #4116 are nearing Greenwich Junction just outside of Salem,NY.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
