I've always wanted to catch one of the locals that happen to go on the CN Newmarket subdivision, whether it be a CN 541 or a CN 545. Since the weather was warmer than usual today, I decided to take a short bike ride from my house to the tracks and see if I could catch one of these elusive locals. Just as I pulled up to the tracks, CN 541 was already waiting just north of the crossing for a clearance to work Imperial Oil. Luckily, this guy sat in this spot for a few minutes before taking the siding at Imperial Oil, letting me grab a few shots from different perspectives. From what I have seen, and know, I may be the first one to have shot a local south of Snider on the Newmarket subdivision! Cool.
