602's Maiden Voyage
Amtrak 602 made its first revenue run leading train 20, the Crescent, north from Washington, DC to New York City. The train is seen crossing the Raritan River viaduct from New Brunswick into Highland Park. The Crescent was running about 15-20 minutes early on this day, and it was a good thing since clouds rolled in shortly after this photo was taken.
