| A Pan Am local with 2 GP40's and 6 loads head to the Sappi Paper Mill in Westbrook, Maine. It is somewhat rare to see 2 locomotives on the Mountain Branch like this. This is the old Maine Central Mountain Division, which is now active only to the Sappi Paper Mill from CPF196 (Mountain Junction, where the Mountain Division meets Pan Am's Mainline) which is 5 miles. The Amtrak Downeaster also uses the beginning of this line for the Portland Transportation Center. |
